Dear readers!
Here you can find more information about us and our breeding. Our first beloved labrador came to us in 2005 when we as a newly formed family wanted a dog with who our child could live and grow. By choosing a breed for our family, the most important thing was to get a dog with a stable character who is going to give us a lot of love, so the decision fell on the Labrador Retriever breed. Shortly after the decision, a black female puppy named Noa arrived. From this, you can conclude why our kennel's name is “Noa Land“, in fact after whom it was named. |

We made no mistake in choosing the breed, Noa grew into a dog with wonderful character who, as our pet, took part in all our daily activities. During her life we lived in a location near to forest and that allowed us long walks in nature. Noa had two litters that provided us with new knowledge about dogs and helped us see how exciting it is to have a Labrador litter in our yard.
The years went by, and Noa was still an essential part of our lives, until the moment we found out she had an incurable genetic disease. Despite many treatments and surgeries, Noa became more and more ill and soon she was no longer able to participate in her usual activities (walking, playing, running after the ball,..). We became aware that Noa is going to leave us soon. In June 2011, we procured a female puppy – Nikky, who brightened Noa's last moments. Unfortunately, in July, Noa passed away and that was a huge loss for us and Nikky. That event encouraged us to get another Labrador female puppy – Ruby in August. As Nikky and Ruby grew, we learned that Labrador can be so much more than just a pet, so the idea of setting up a kennel appeared. At the end of 2011, our family decided to open the kennel, and that marked the beginning of coexistence with Labradors and selection different type of life.
10.02.2012. Noa Land kennel (FCI 10/12) is officially registered. Gathering all the necessary documentation for Nikky and Ruby to get a breeding license and winning enviable results on the dog shows in Croatia as well as in other countries together with analyzing Labradors in the smaller and in the larger area to select the best mates for our future puppies, we ennoble our knowledge about the breed. As a result of our effort, on 17.11.2012. the first litter in Noa Land was born, which started our breeding of Labrador Retrievers. Spending days and years looking for the best parents and their puppies from all over the world who could improve our breeding has resulted in the purchase of breeding puppies with who we had enjoyed in dog shows, had traveled through Europe, and reached the moment in which we have the descendants of the most beautiful and most successful representatives of the Labrador Retriever breed. Some European breeders have confidently allowed us to borrow their best mates who have strengthened the desired genetics with their presence.
Assistance dogs:
|
Many dogs passed through our kennel, some were originally intended to continue our breeding, but they have become assistance dogs for people with disabilities, top working dogs in search of people in ruins or have been trained for some other purpose. Only a few dogs remained for further breeding and helped us to try to select the best individuals who in the future will give beautiful and healthy specimens of their breed. The parents of our puppies are successful show and working dogs, with wonderful characters, proper hips, and elbows, and have been tested for various inherited diseases that show their health and the health of their offspring, which is extremely important for us after losing Noa.
|
To future dog owners, we can not promise that they will get the best working, show, hunting, or dog for any other purpose predestined to the puppy before purchase, but we can guarantee the puppy's health and with our experience try to help choose a puppy suitable for a specific purpose.
For future owners of our dogs, we would like to give more information about some of the genetic tests which we have been paying attention to for years with the purpose to breed healthy dogs. You can see more here.
And.....at the end of our story, or rather in the continuation of our story, we just want to say that "Every bear belongs here".
